CURRENT COMMUNITY PROJECTS

ALLO FIBER

In 2024, Allo Fiber officially arrived in Lake Havasu City, AZ, marking a significant upgrade in the community’s internet infrastructure. Installation of the fiber-optic network began in early spring, with service rolling out to residents and businesses by mid-summer.

The launch brought ultra-fast and reliable internet, transforming connectivity for activities like streaming, gaming, remote work, and business operations. With speeds up to 1 Gbps and a commitment to customer satisfaction, Allo Fiber's arrival was celebrated as a game-changer for Lake Havasu City’s digital future.

The project has resulted in a $60 million investment into the fiber optic future of Lake Havasu.

SECOND BRIDGE (ISLAND DISTRICT)

Lake Havasu City is advancing plans to construct a second bridge, over the Bridgewater Channel to alleviate congestion on the historic London Bridge—the sole access point to the island. Aiming to enhance traffic flow, support economic development, and improve emergency vehicle access. The project expected to span three years. City officials anticipate that the second bridge will accommodate the city's growth and provide residents and visitors with improved access to the island's amenities. The bridge is expected to be completed by 2027.

MAIN STREET COMMONS

Lake Havasu City owns an approximately 1.5-acre parcel of land in the downtown area located at the corner of McCulloch Boulevard and Querio Drive.  This location was purchased by the City in 2017 as the location for a Downtown Catalyst Project. The Downtown Catalyst Project was identified as part of the City’s Vision 20/20 Plan. This plan was a major contributing factor to the city winning second place in the Frontier Communications America’s Best Communities (ABC) competition.

The downtown event center now hosts premiere events like Desert Storm and Winterfest, along with community events such as First Friday.

HAVASU RIVERIA DEVELOPMENT & MARINA

Spanning more than 550 acres, Havasu Riviera is a true collaboration between Lake Havasu City, Arizona State Parks and Trails, Bureau of Land Management and the developer – Komick Enterprises and Desert Land Group.  The project features:

• The Havasu Riviera Marina, a state-of-the-art waterfront marina and boat launch facility

• The Riviera Lake Havasu residential community, a world-class residential community featuring around 600 homes

FALCON EYE - ISLAND DEVELOPMENT

FalconEye Ventures is developing a ~90-acre, $24 million mixed-use resort project on The Island.

Located at the former Nautical Inn Golf Course, the project includes a shoreline resort, residential units (homes, townhomes, apartments), retail, restaurants, and a boat launch, with approval secured for development plans in early 2026.

The company bought the land, currently zoned for a golf course and 78 acres of right-of-way, for $24M in 2023 in a state land auction. The current zoning is for parks/open space. The developer is seeking a major General Plan amendment to resort-related island, resort residential and commercial mixed-use, along with a rezoning to Island Body Beach planned development overlay.

The development will be centered around a shoreline resort and will feature four types of residential components and a variety of general retail and restaurant options, which the team says will add to services not currently available on the Island.

The residential components will range from single-family homes to townhomes and apartments.
